Sorry, I'm still pretty amateurish when it comes to Photoshop. I've tried my best to make these crazy-abstract looking reflection effects...what do you guys think?

Don't tell me you learned masking for the second one? If so, that's good. :)

First one is pretty cool too.

ROFL... :) how did you make the shadow fade out on the vista box? or did u just make a black layer over it and make that one fade out and then change the opacity on the upside down vista box?

I duplicated the layer, transform => flip vertical, then arranged it. Then I skewed it, and then I switched to Quick Mask mode, used a gradient, then inverted the selection and deleted it. It's not as difficult as it sounds :)

Or you could have pressed the "Add a layer mask" at the bottom of the layers window, and used a black to transparent gradient from gradient tool. Then adjusted the opacity. It's waay easier.

With the mask. Depends where you make your first click of the gradient and where you release.
