The fake effect is what I am trying to get at. Usually a huge overemphasis on the clouds and color variation is used for a computer-CGI effect as well as keeping a minor degree of realism (A hybrid sorta thing). I love those pics, and I am not too good at it. This is just practice :P

The noise comes from two things: Afterphoto processing (The color emphasis brings up the graininess) and also a limitation of my Canon SD300, a point and shoot camera as well as the lenses/sensor.

Ever wondered why people got dSLR and nice lenses? :lol:

Lol go kill yourself... This would be a cool photo for a map... With super HDR effects! The only problem I would foresee is the lag. So what effects did you use to achieve that photo?

Color curving, spotlight effects (Again more contrast curves) with blur effects, sharpening along edges, etc etc
