From my experience, the Dell Studio 15 with a 9-cell battery gets pretty good battery life. The keyboard also doesn't have a lot of flex, but I really dislike that keyboard layout. I love my Thinkpad keyboard where it has more or less a STANDARD layout with no weird keys placed on the right side that I keep hitting when I try to hit Enter or Backspace. That's not to mention that my Dell has practically the same keyboard layout. The only thing is that Fn and Ctrl is flipped around like all Lenovos, but I got used to that a long time ago.

No one actually uses a Ferrari as a daily driver. It's better left in the garage... plus it won't start half the time.
