I bought this PSP this evening, i need something new to keep me busy. My Game Boy Color is getting a little old on me, and repetitive...

I bought the PSP at Target, where I got a discount on it, as my dad works there. Target Really doesn't have any good games for it, so I had to go to 2 other stores, Toys R Us and K-Mart until I found this game, Daxter, that my sister-in-law suggested. Having played only a few minutes of the game, it is quite fun.

The PSP itself, takes some getting used to, but I'm sure it's easy once you start playing it. I might get this thing modded, as my sister-in-law did on hers, so I can play other games.

For some odd reason, the wireless in it will not work with my router, maybe it's the kind of wireless that the PSP won't use...

O well, i'll figure it out... I give it...

8.5/10

Nice -- the PSP is still one of the favorites in portable gaming with a really nice widescreen display. Glad you enjoy it

Oh yeah, I heard of it! Man, speaking of Spyro, I still have some edition of it on my original first-gen Playstation my lovely cousin got me. I miss that game.

It's the 3rd variation of Sony PSPs as far as I know. The PSP-2000 (Slim and Lite) quotes the following:

Quote

At E3 2007, Sony announced that a new version of the PSP would be released in September 2007, for all regions.[53] The redesigned PSP is 33% lighter and 19% thinner than the original PSP. The redesign also features composite TV output, supports charging via USB, double the onboard RAM (32 MB to 64 MB), and has a brighter screen.[76] It also caches UMD data in memory to decrease game loading times. The WLAN switch has been moved to the top where the old IR receiver was to avoid accidental switching, and the speaker vents that were at the bottom and underside of the original PSP have been moved to the top of this new model

While the PSP-3000, based on the PSP-2000 chassis, is described as:

Quote

On August 20, 2008, a revised PSP design was announced at a press conference in Leipzig. Based on the Slim & Lite (PSP-2000) design,[78][79] the PSP-3000 features an improved LCD screen, a built-in microphone, oval shaped start and select buttons and an expanded video-out. The LCD screen features a higher contrast ratio, shorter response time, and wider color gamut, as well as anti-reflective technology for improved visibility in well-lit environments. Expanded video-out capability allows gameplay video to be output in interlaced format. This model was released in Japan, Asia, North America, Europe[78] and Australia[citation needed] in October 2008.

That is probably some of the best explanation for it, unfortunately it can't be perma-hacked.

WPA2 has always been more secure, but that's ok...

It is, just not permanent. All can be modded in one way or another.
