It's pretty amazing. I'm loving Windows 7 so far. And Microsoft has done a brilliant job and getting people to receive Windows 7 positively from the same noobs that ridiculed Vista. In the end, Windows 7 is just a more refined, slightly performance optimized, and minor feature enhanced Vista.

Another weird issue: When Firefox is minimized, and Steam is running on the system tray, the Steam windows is brought up to the foreground. Apparently this is a Firefox issue. B)

Yep idle state is definitely improved from Vista. Regular operation is not significantly different.

That is a good thing for all laptops, often you will idle it quite a bit.

Had 67% battery left when I used my comp at 80% brightness from 2:00pm until 5:25pm today. Not bad. :P

A few weeks in and I had to admit I like Windows 7 very much. It's so smooth and integrated, and the experience is excellent as drivers continue to improve. I went back to Vista and found out how much I missed. Then I went back to XP and wondered why the heck anyone still uses it?

Since I shipped my Lenovo back, I immediately took one of my old laptops and installed Windows Vista on it since I got a whole stack of extra licenses. Not worth my Windows 7 licenses but it's just so much better. :P

Damn just Upgraded my Asus laptop. I really dig Superbar and I get at least 10% better Battery Life.

Windows 7 is best.Because it has better features then the other. And Windows 7 is a vast improvement from Vista as it takes up much less ram and has other optimizations such as fast booting times. I recommend Windows 7, and if you really don't want vista and don't want to wait for the final version of Windows 7, you can download a copy of the Release Candidate from the Microsoft website for free and use it up till June of 2010. I am working with the Release Candidate right now and so far I have absolutely no complaints, considering I am a heavy computer use with advanced software.
