Haven't owned a Dell mobile for years, brings back the memories of the Dell Axim X30 :P

I have to admit it does look pretty sleek. It looks like a serious contender. It might just steal some attention from the iPhone!

Looks sleek, but that keyboard seems a bit too cramped in that location. More of a Blackberry keyboard than anything.

Agreed. That keyboard looks fit for some small fingers. I know I wouldn't work that keyboard. Looks real snazzy though.

Yeah, I agree. It does look incredibly sleek though -- but also fairly familiar :P

I still find it odd of a choice as you guys have mentioned on how it slides out vertically rather than horizontally. In my opinion it would work a load better if it slides sideways for a more usable thumb keyboard. But at least it's thin AND has a hardware keyboard is a pretty darn good design.

It really needs more storage though. Having 8GB MicroSD as the only expansion slot is kind of crappy. What can I do with 8GB in media? It's not like even my iPhone 3G 16GB is enough. :P

It's not a bad thing, it's just an inefficient use of hardware.

I use my iPhone in portrait mode with the soft keyboard and it works brilliantly. I never use it in landscape mode (Considering how it takes like 70% of the screen lol). But with the Dell I think having a slide side keyboard with no screen space penalty is the way to go as you guys have mentioned.

I hope this is a prototype version and not the real production one, I would go for this as well if it had a side slide out keyboard.

I am 99.9% sure they won't make such a fundamental change to an already pretty much finished product.

True that, but one could always hope. Maybe common sense will hit them soon.

If that hit them, it would never have went past the drawing board :)

Woot, finally available after one year

Funny how time flew by... and how long this took to get into the market.

I'm sticking with my Samsung Captivate - just never really liked Dell mobile hardware.

According to my opinion venue pro is easily and by far the best looking of the lot. The glossy black body is nicely offset by the chrome trim on the sides and the buttons, and the design comes across as very high class. The material quality is first rate, with the glass-covered screen, metal sides, and neatly textured plastic back panel exuding a very high quality feel.
