Makes use of Flash. If your browser doesn't have flash it will automatically use the non-flash one. I actually think it's pretty nice, though they could have labelled each icon so the user knows what is what without having to click.

Whoa, that is actually REALLY sleek -- much better than what we had earlier. Do you have screenshots of the interface after logon?

It's the same as the updated one I showed you last time with some new icons and they made it black-ish instead of blue, but they didn't make any significant changes. Hence I didn't post a screenshot.

Upon checking that I actually found out that the GUI doesn't render properly in Google Chrome (v5)

Hopefully they upgrade the post-login GUI to something like the amazing Flash login screen I just experienced though.

Here's some screenshots of what I was talking about Chrome not rendering the GUI properly.

Chrome:

Firefox (properly rendered):

The result is the same upon refreshing browser cache as well (although the font is bigger)

So basically they updated the splash page? Well the minor changes to the setting still seems a little lacking compared to some other ones we have seen around here.

Pretty much greatly improved the login page and then made minor adjustments to the main GUI that improved it a bit but still isn't what I thought it would be.

The main interface is already quite an improvement over the original interface. Tune up the font a bit and we got a lot more professionalism. It's not QNAP quality, but it's decent.

The new interface is a lot more responsive as well. Very noticeable speed improvements.

 Looks pretty sleek to me - how is the HTML interface you mentioend - since it won't run on the iPhone. QNAP uses AJAX which is better IMO, but this is a big improvement.

Yes, QNAP uses a full AJAX interface including the logon screen, which has animations, but not in Flash.

Flash should run a little smoother though. QNAP's visual effects are excellent; technically superior but not as smooth.

First icon logs you into the GUI that I gave two screenshots of (one in Chrome, one in Firefox), the second one is the Web Disk, and the last icon is a Photo Explorer type thing (I can't recall the exact name -- I'll have to get back to you on it)

They have a photo explorer now? How does that differ from the file manager?
