Hmm, I need to setup my LAN server again. What should I look out for? I have ESTools and Mani as far as I know.
Time to redo everything, scrap ESTools. That was broken by the newest version of CSS.
Use the newest version of Eventscripts, which you can get here: http://forums.events...hp?f=90&t=38821
Use this script as a replacement for EST: http://addons.events...ns/view/est4css
I suggest dropping Mani for SourceMod which requires both SourceMM and of course SourceMod:

No kidding, this is one big reason I play a lot more GMOD than CSS these days.Orange box engine is so buggy they need to test it out more before using it killed a lot of servers

They should have considered taking a longer beta, similar to Blizzard's approach. Don't release it until it is perfect. Some of the stuff feels tacked on and the hit detection glitches were annoying to say the least. It will probably take a bit more time to refine it as long as they are actively developing and implementing the platform.

Those are just a few protest groups about it. Steadily things are getting better, however some people had to reinstall CSS to get it working fully. It would have random lag whenever people joined a server and without a reinstall it would lag regardless of FPS and ping. There were also a few hit detection issues, where people just did not get hit when shot. Lots of other issues as well, including some bugs with Hammer the map editor. Every single mod that I know of was broken by the update and not every one of them is fixed yet.

Well since they released the engine isnt it pretty much a new install automatically anyway?
