They say that they are subsidizing the cost of local calls with long distance subscriptions. It came in handy since Sunday evening. :P

tanger's car died. It's been a long running joke. Everyone called him and sent him condolences about his car. If he's reading this then he can update us on it :P

Google recently launched phone talk facility. Feature this month that works within your Gmail account. Not much to say about it, except that it could make Google Apps for Business an even more attractive proposition, as they are offering international call rates (computer to phone) starting at 2 cents a minute to Japan, Britain, Germany and France. Arguably everything required to launch a business from your computer now sits in the cloud of Google Apps... But you'll still need to file your tax returns.

Really, it makes it easy to stay in touch with friends and family using computer’s microphone and speakers.

True. I know, for example, that my parents keep in touch with relatives almost exclusively via Google Talk. US phone numbers FTW yo. Calling US numbers from Australian landlines is really cheap (about 1c/min), but free calling is just that much better. :P

1 cent a minute? Just stick with your normal phones :P

But yeah I get unlimited North America calling on landline (And 1000 international minutes), so we don't really care. Prank calling is fun though :)
