I was driving along at Cochrane this afternoon. Turned onto Highway 1A (Practically the main road since it cuts through the town) and before long my Beltronics Vector 995 radar detector started beeping on Ka band. It constantly goes on and off, but the signal keeps increasing -- it should be fairly clear what's going on in front

In the map below, "A" is approximately where my V995 first alerted me on the Ka band:
Since there's quite a bit of buildings around me, and the road is on a bit of a curve, I can't seem to spot where the threat is coming from. Right where it turns off and goes uphill, parked on the side of the road is a police cruiser emitting the signal to catch speeders at "B"

It was kind of interesting since I doubt the guy could get anyone... it's uphill, and it just changed from 50 to 80. Either way, the total distance is 1.7km and I am very impressed by the performance of this unit.
