This is not the old school Need for Speed III: Hot Pursuit or Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit II (Funny how they recycled the name). Looks quite amazing to me, and it's developed by Criterion. Not a gamer, but this looks pretty darn good and I might have to just invest in some new driving sim equipment and the game :|

It's coming next month so :D

How about we get into gaming reviews with a PS3 steering wheel just for this game and GT5?

Thankfully, it's available on every platform as always. The Wii is developed somewhat separately, but I am sure the PC version is just as good. :P

Man, looks nice.

Jonathan: you might want to invest in one of these: http://www.amazon.co...l/dp/B000GP8448 :D ... or just get a review unit. I'd love to see one of these reviewed. Not that I can throw away that sort of cash LOL, but ever since this wheel/shifter kit came out, I've liked its looks and feel. I think an APH review would provide a great real-world analysis of this kit. (Y)

G27's the way - anyone know if NFS supports G2x's MT shifter? The fact Criterion is deving it looks amazing can't wait for the game.

Need for Speed: Shift supports it theoretically, so I would assume Hot Pursuit would to. One of our local computer stores has a Logitech G27 setup with 3 LCD monitors on NFS: Shift; I was only on it for a few minutes but I couldn't get the H shifter to work with the clutch. Either way, the shifting action on either of these wheels are worse than a Hyundai stick, so don't expect too much manual transmission experience if you own a Honda or similar vehicle.

Agreed, I remember being the police and setting down those nasty spike strips.

Yep, I think I had a 3dFX VooDoo 2 card and it looked great for it's time. I loved running the cops into stuff. It'll be another good reason to dust off the wheel and pedals. Just got F1 2010 the other day, but I can't play this weekend though, I'll be at Road Atlanta for Petit Le Mans. Go Risi Competizione in the GT2 class  If you're in the US you can catch the race on SPEED 11am EST. I'll have pics if wanted.

And the spike strips

I remember owning an NVIDIA card and it didn't have proper support for it, so the graphics become 2D and it's really ugly. That's too bad, haha.

I had to admit, one of the coolest videos ever. Music is fitting. The switch between the real life interpretation by stunt drivers Marc Hennerici and Marc Basseng and the game is done very well. It makes me want to buy the game, like, now.

Man I feel so nostalgic, I remember playing Hot Pursuit 2 on PC when I was real young, definitely one of my favorite games from that time.

You mean Need for Speed III: Hot Pursuit? Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit 2 is a different game... in other news, we'll be getting a copy of this game for review. Confirmation when I get it. We're officially into game reviews :P

Whoops, I actually had both of those games at one point. I did however mean to say Hot Pursuit 2 when I was mentioning it, but I did play both.

I got this game several days ago (on the PC) and although it doesn't work with my steering wheel (MS Sidewinder FF) it's still pretty fun with a gamepad. Had issues with a few other NFS titles too, so I wasn't REALLY surprised.

I'm finding it's quite a bit of fun being the cops. I don't know if it's because it's a little different than just flat out racing or what.

Don't really have a fav car, but there is a few I like more than others: 911 Targa RS (the GT3 RS is basically the race version), McLaren MP4-12C, Lamborghini Gallardo LP 550-2 Valentino Balboni, Aston Martin V12 Vantage, Ford Shelby GT500 (a ton fun to drift in). Just about all the cars are fun in one way or another, kinda sucks that Ferrari didn't want to license their cars for it though.

Missing Ferrari kind of does suck, but hey their loss I guess.
