It's out :D That includes Windows Live Movie Maker, Mail, Messenger, Writer, Sync, and Family Safety. Now with Ribbon UI.

Here's the offline installer:

Not on Windows Update yet? - Updated Messenger - looks like you can now accept video calls and answer without video on the spot too. Live Mesh is pretty awesome in syncing computers.

Yes, it still displays the Windows Live Messenger logo at the bottom where the advertisements usually go. It won't go away. Or it just shows a blank white space, which is quite annoying. Oh, and no more custom names. :P

I think this is a change for the better, the benefits seem to outweigh the disadvantages. Just fake your name if you really want to.

Ok so what we have is:

- No more handwriting
- No more custom names
- A-Patch doesn't work all too well (yet)

+ Social networking integration with Facebook chat
+ Improved interface

Actually I accidentally almost started a video call with someone I don't want to, and I was like lulwut did I just press :| Then I was like OH CRAP, I JUST FIRED VIDEO, then it took me another 10 seconds to figure out how to cancel lol.

Here's the deal though... I'm getting more used to WLM 2011. :D

Just tried WLM 2011 - looks like it opens all messages automatically when you right click - new animations are nice with threaded view like Outlook.

Yep, I like threaded view, along with the ribbon UI. Anyone tried Mesh?

I like the Ribbon UI for Mail - no need to buy outlook for the Home user anymore.

For those that might not know already, the lastest A-Patch (1.43 b10) removes all the ads now.

I knew that there were a few people around here (besides myself) that would like that little bit of news.

That was really the only thing keeping me from upgrading. I'd been playing around with it in a VM, but after being used to a clean contact list for so long I just couldn't take all the ads.

As with most things new, I like some of the changes, others not so much.

Yep, it's awesome IMO.

Is anyone else's Windows Live Mail 2011 spam filter broken?
