I found this forum through a google search for unbricking the 610N...
Anyhow, a friend of mine was upgrading the firmware, he said he was upgrading to a firmware that was supposed to make his router faster. Never said what firmware etc, he likes to not fully read instructions...
Anyway, I am looking to setup a router as a wireless access point for a couple things in another room that only have wired connectivity, so I decided I'd take the router off his hands (as its dd wrt supported) and see if I can fix it.
So, how can I fix it? I've seen some guides on jtagging, but I'd prefer to exhaust all my options before jtagging.

Can you enter recovery mode?
You will have about 30 seconds to do so, so make it fast.
