Just to let you know, Jonathan, that the Armor A30 is most likely going into May because of the tight scheduling of other reviews.

I've already got my Dell parts transferred into the Armor A30 case with Windows Server 2008 R2 Enterprise, up and running Posted Image No previews yet, as the Sentey case will be coming first.

Just an update, we'll be getting a Gigabyte 6870 SOC.

What makes it special? Other than the Windforce cooler here's what they say...

World’s #1 GPU cherry-picking process Only the strongest processors survive the GPU Gauntlet. GIGABYTE’s database analysis system evaluates the GPU core engine, shader engine. The GPUs with the best power efficiency and lowest power consumption are qualified for the Super Overclock Series. So the question remains…will your graphics card make it through the Gauntlet?

Sounds like a lot of marketing mumbo to me.

 But I want one even though I have a 6870 from Gigabyte already.

The In Win Dragon Slayer is a mATX case, and no one on the team here in Calgary has a mATX board with the exception of me. So, Devin will be sharing half of that review with me as well as the review on the Sentey Arvina GS-6400B.

No problems about that. The 6870 SOC is in as far as I know, I missed delivery today :( The G.SKILL Sniper series RAM will be here tomorrow. Also arranging for a G.SKILL Phoenix EVO SSD.

Yeah I could look into that. BTW Jeremy, we already covered the 34nm Vertex 2 back in November.

The 25nm Vertex 2 delivers lower performance (In synthetics) and higher provisioning space required, so you'll end up with lower capacities. That said, it's cheaper per gigabyte, and shouldn't affect real life throughput all too much. Same goes with the 25nm Phoenix EVO (The 34nm Sandforce drives are labeled PRO) and only comes in 115GB form (The 34nm with lower provisioning is usually 120GB). Obviously the 'true' capacity is 128GB, so you're losing around 7% on these SF-1200 disks.

The Thermaltake stuff will be in tomorrow or Thursday. We'll see what we end up getting.

We should also be getting a Toughpower Grand 1200W next month.
