Well, to be fair, Vista is a fine OS (Especially since SP1). Windows 7 is basically Vista R2. I've been using Vista since it was released, and if you have decent computer parts, it's a huge leap from XP. I just can't seem to grasp why people are so obsessed with XP -- it's old, it's outdated, and fundamentally, if you have a good computer, just get with the times.

I got Vista after SP1 (before SP1 was no good)
I've been using Windows 7 since before it was FCS, through some of my connections :P
Windows 8... I might hold off unless they give it something very cool

I told my parents the other day that I will no longer help them with computer problems on Windows XP :P

Yeah, I had an RTM build. Which is before FCS, it was funny because right before they released it to public there was like 6 updates that night.

FCS is just general availability. It stands for first customer shipment, which is the less commonly used.

What a ****ing waste! I have barely seen any Windows XP x64 installations, what a waste of a perfectly good laptop on a 10 year old OS.
