Basically, it calls for application integration, especially with devices on Windows Phone. I think the idea of avoiding it sustaining as a standalone app rather than an integrated feature in conjunction with Skype's existing user base and Microsoft's cross platform implementation brings in a lot of potential. Opinions?

It should add some new features to the Win Phone 7, which is actually quite a nice phone except for the lack of applications.

The way I see it, I think data plans are probably going to take out traditional voice plans.

Probably - but I really like to see what they have to add for Skype for WP7. In the past Skype has always been a standalone app and how MS does it for phone integration is going to be very interesting. For one thing we now have Xbox, WP7 and Windows PC across the platforms, and I think that makes a really awesome cross platform communication toool.

Well a phone is a phone right? I use Android but I barely have any Apps installed just a good old Phone. I would LOVE to see skype integration. Data plans are the future but now we're limiting the Usage, a step back.
