Looks like AMD is trying to strike back with 2600K-like performance for $250 with Bulldozer. Too bad they're a year late. :S

:P Looks like they're comparing a i7-980x in the graphs.

Yeah, which is comparable against the 980X for the most part in performance. But you're right in the comparo -- AMD is comparing against an age old processor just because of the price. It's not very valid in my opinion.

AMD, getting whooped since 2006. Having 8 cores and barely outperforming Intel's quad core counterparts... hmm. And not very power efficient at all.

To be fair, I'm just disappointed more than anything. It would be nice if there was more choices, but Intel has clearly won this battle. People say if AMD improved performance Intel would have to drop prices. I don't think people realize business and the fact that AMD would price them similarly to Intel so that they can make more profit.

The amount of power generated by the FX processors really just spells weakness for overclocking, but I'd like to see a more comprehensiveness OC review on the processors. With Sandy Bridge E and Ivy Bridge creeping up, I suspect they would be a much better investment.

Gameplay and Desktop review.

To be honest, I wasn't expecting much, and again AMD underdelivered.

I love how AMD fanboys are telling us about how awesome Bulldozer will be but this looks like a Bucket of Fail.

Inferior processor that's 10 months late, suboptimal power usage, and can't outperform a quad core CPU on multithreaded apps... hmm.

In AMD's defense, they're saying it's because Windows 7 is unaware of its architecture, which leads to reduced performance.
