As posted this morning:

http://aphnetworks.c...d-companies-now

I think one of the article highlights come down to this:

Quote

According to Ryan Petersen, either directly or through OEMs, OCZ SSDs have recently been deployed to enterprise and data center clients such as AOL, eBay, SAP, Prudential, Marketwire, EdgeCast, ASK.com, NTT Docomo, South Korean Telecom, Boxel, Boeing, Chevron, Carbonite, Honda, Bloomberg.

The list of OCZ's OEM partners include companies such as Dell, HP, SGI, Quanta Cloud Computing, Supermicro, Panzura, Tegile, Astute Networks, Penguin Computing, Wistron, JVL, Flextronics.

I know OCZ is extremely popular with consumers, but I never knew they have so many OEM and enterprise partners. With an enthusiast brand moving mainstream (And still delivering top notch SSDs for the hardcore crowd), way to go OCZ :D

Once had 3 dead (defective) OCZ Vertex SSDs in a row...even after firmware updates and much frustration

Maybe not an indicator of the company overall, but concerning nonetheless.

Never had a problem with Sandforce based SSDs. Used to have an OCZ Vertex 2 60GB with no issues. Right now I run 3 OCZ SSDs (OCZ Vertex 2 160GB, OCZ Agility 3 240GB, and OCZ Vertex 3 Max IOPS 240GB)and they can't be better :D

That's a lot of OCZ - but yes considering how many Drives they sell it's not surprising how many Failures you here by Absolute value.

If only OCZ's SSDs were reliable and didn't have compatibility issues they'd be fine.

Yeah, never had a problem with OCZ drives -- they do sell a lot of them. Okay I lied, my OCZ Octane is DOA, but for the ones that are in service with me, they're all working really well. I use them on my main laptop and desktop, and if there's any issues, I would know since I use them every day :P
