So, how many of you have ever built a hackintosh? I currently have two:
- HP dv9700 running Snow Leopard
- Dell GX520 running Leopard
I'm planning on building a new machine to run Lion sometime soon; just haven't decided on specs yet.

Man, I haven't done it for years, haha. I've tried it with my Dell Inspiron 6400 back in 2007, but it ended up being a nightmare. It had something to do with the graphics driver upon booting (Wrong drivers = blank screen on start... and they say Mac OS just works eh?). Has things gotten better?

Yeah I think it's a bit easier now. With websites like osx86, you can find compatibility information, as well as step-by-step installation guides.

Best if you use it with generic hardware. I think Dell laptops work the best.
