Nope. Not at all. The build quality is average at best, even for the latest models. :S

Yeah, I'm not a big fan of Acer computers, but I did have an ASUS previously :P Now I just play around with my Lenovo ThinkPad T420.

Yup, gotta agree with all of their responses. My friend recently got a new laptop during boxing day for a great deal at Memory Express. I went over to her house to check it out, saw that it was Acer, and cringed even before I looked at the specs  Nuff said.

Yeah, Acer computers suffer from poor build quality, even at their "top" line. They may have competitive specs (on paper) for a low price, but don't let that tempt you.

Pretty happy with my Aspire 5755-6699 I got a few months back. i3-2330M, 4GB ram, Dual band Intel wireless card. For under 400 bucks ($350+tax) it makes a nice little HTPC when you add a decent Logitech RF wireless KB & mouse.

Yeah, from the bedroom to the living room and the computer room or out on the deck when the weather is nice. :P If I take it to work or something I have a laptop case for it to travel in.

Well, as it always goes, Acer has very good specs. I have an Acer Aspire from 2006 that still works, but it never leaves the house.

It's still an Acer :P

Sure they're better than before, but I'd stick to my Thinkpads.
