I'd like to see how this compares against the iPad mini. Shift, did yours come in yet? :P

Has not been ordered yet. Will take pictures etc when it does arrive though.

I'm honestly not sure what the difference between this, and something like the Galaxy Tab is. I haven't paid much attention to the tablet market until now.

It's almost the same thing, except the Nexus 7 has slightly better specs. In practice it's probably a small difference in performance (Even with a dual vs. quad core CPU).

One of the guys at work has a 16GB version. I have to say, it's a pretty smooth running device, and it's pretty nice to use. I think the price is really an attractive aspect.

I know people at APH don't like it when people bring up old topics, but today I was kind of bored, so I picked up the Nexus 7 at MemExpress. Must say, it's smooth as butter. There are a few kinks such as the fact that some apps don't work for the tablet (i.e. Tumblr, Whatsapp, etc), but all in all it's awesome.

And for you picture police...

Damn, nice! You actually got one! How does the 7 inch screen look? Will it be too small compared to the iPad?

7-inch screen is actually perfect for me. In portrait it's the perfect sizing for keyboard usage with two thumbs. The screen itself is also pretty good. No issues yet.

Eh the lack of rear camera is a con for some but it doesn't really bother me
