Hey Preston, this should make you feel better. :P
My C2D E8200 @ 3.2GHz
I did have a few things running (Winamp, IE9 and other minor things). May try it on my Acer i3 laptop just for fun later.

You sure that's stock? My 3770K @ 4.5 is barely pulling an 8.

Max boost there is 3.8Ghz, by default.

Hath shift broken the time-space continuum?

I don't know, I'll look through BIOS. My friend sold me this board and it's stock settings to my knowledge.

Though I'll admit I was surprised I got under 8 seconds on supposedly stock =/

Even with Turbo it shouldn't be under 8.

Here's a 2500K running at 4.5GHz. Cache doesn't make a big difference in SuperPi, and neither is it multithreaded, so HT does nothing.

That should be running at at least 4.7-4.8GHz. (Also Windows System Information doesn't show overclocks.)

Okay, so I just downloaded CPU-Z, apparently it's running at 4.8 (100MHz x 48 Multiplier). I'll look through my BIOS settings later today.
