Report: NVIDIA Shield Tablet Coming July 29 for $299/$399 USD

From DailyTech: NVIDIA's new tablet version of its handheld controller-and-screen device, Shield, now has a full spec sheet available before release thanks to a new report from VideoCardz.com.

The upcoming NVIDIA Shield Tablet will reportedly sport an 8-inch 1920x1200 IPS LCD display, Tegra K1 (quad-core A15, 32-bit) processor clocked at 2.2GHz, 2GB of RAM, a 5MP front-facing camera and a 5 MP rear-facing camera. The 19.75 watt-hour battery has an estimated 10 hours of video playback.

Some extras are front-facing stereo speakers with dual bass reflex ports, a MicroSD slot, a mini HDMI 1.4a port, Bluetooth 4.0 LE, GPS and a NVIDIA DirectStylus 2 (included).

There will be two models to choose from, including a 16GB Wi-Fi version and a 32GB LTE version. The Wi-Fi model will sell for $299 USD while the LTE version will run $399 USD.

Separate from the Shield Tablet itself is the Shield Controller, which offers response times of about 10ms. It also has a built-in headphone jack with voice chat support.
