Lenovo Announces $499, 13.3" QHD Yoga Tablet 2 Pro with Built-in Pico Projector

From DailyTech: Remember around this time last year when Ashton Kutcher was named as a product engineer for Lenovo? Well, the actor has apparently offered his input on the new Yoga Tablet 2 Pro and naturally, the device (which runs Android 4.4 KitKat) comes packing a built-in Pico projector for displaying your favorite movies on up to a 50” surface (anyone up for a showing of “Dude, Where’s My Car?”).

Moving past the projector, the Yoga Tablet 2 Pro has plenty of other goodies to entice consumers including an 8W speaker system (two 1.5W front-facing speakers plus a 5W subwoofer), 13.3” QHD display (2560x1440), Intel Atom Z3745 processor with 2GB of RAM, 32GB of storage, and a microSD slot for expansion. Two cameras are included: an 8MP unit on the rear and a 1.6MP unit on the front of the device. When it comes to connectivity, 802.11n and Bluetooth 4.0 are included along with optional LTE wireless.

The 2.09-lb Yoga Tablet 2 Pro continues to feature Stand, Tilt, and Hold modes, along with a new “Hang” mode to mount the device on a wall.

Battery life for the tablet is rated at up to an impressive 15 hours on a charge which should be enough to last through the day and into the next under typical usage scenarios.

Lenovo says that the Yoga Tablet 2 Pro will launch in late October for $499 (without LTE) and will be available from Lenovo.com and Best Buy.
