Leaked Verizon Document Promises 4 New Android World Phones

From DailyTech: Verizon's roadmap leak in August offered us a broad glimpse into the carrier's short-term plans. Now, the folks over at Android Central have gotten their hands on another leak that offers a few more specifics, particularly about four new Android world phones heading to Big Red before the end of the year.

The image lists Verizon's current "global smartphone lineup" as well as "Q4 2010 Global Smartphones." Listed in the latter category are four upcoming Android devices:

- the HTC Merge, which we mentioned a few weeks back, is seemingly Verizon's equivalent to the T-Mobile G2. It sports an 800 MHz processor, and -- something a little different here -- Bing is the default search engine. Check out IntoMobile for a video and early review.

- the DROID 2 Global should be the same as the current offering but with added global roaming capabilities, though it's possible that the device will sport a zippy 1.2 GHz processor, according to Android Guys.

- the Droid Pro -- the device that we know the most about -- has a candy bar form factor, with a permanent QWERTY keyboard akin to the Palm Pixi. The Droid Pro sports a 1GHz processor, 2GB of internal memory (plus a 2GB microSD card), 3.1" multi-touch display, a 5-megapixel camera with LED flash, AuthenTec IPSec VPN integration, device/SD card remote wipe, and complex password support. It is being marketed as the "business-friendly" Android.

- the LG enV Pro -- a rumor until now -- is most likely the LG enV Touch 2 device we saw on Engadget back in August. Little is known about the device except that the clamshell form factor will be similar to the enV, with both internal and external displays. There's a good possibility that the enV Pro will be marketed as an entry-level Android, for those who have stuck with feature phones until now. Hence, the "enV" lineage.
