Again, in our custom timedemo of Counter-Strike: Source in cs_militia (For HDR), the 9600GT outperformed the 3870 by a small margin but is still behind the Asus 8800GT TOP video card based off the G92 core. Since this game is based off the same engine as Half-Life 2: Lost Coast, the results were quite similar in pattern to the results in Half-Life 2: Lost Coast. The results are consistent with each other in both games and in relative to other video cards.
