About AIDA64 Engineer

AIDA64 Engineer has a hardware detection engine unrivaled in its class. It provides detailed information about installed software and offers diagnostic functions and support for overclocking. As it is monitoring sensors in real time, it can gather accurate voltage, temperature and fan speed readings, while its diagnostic functions help detect and prevent hardware issues. It also offers a couple of benchmarks for measuring the performance of individual hardware components or the whole system. It is compatible with all 32-bit and 64-bit Windows editions, including Windows 10 and Windows Server 2016.

Since our SSD review benchmark results are presented in alphabetical order, first up on the list is AIDA64 Engineer. Just to note, AIDA64 Engineer is a full synthetic benchmark. This means the results here do not always translate into real world performance. Even so, it provides valuable insight into performance between different drives and different controllers. As you can see above, the Crucial BX300 240GB in all of the tests fell nicely into the average. Its results sat at about the same as most of the SSDs it was compared to. The average access for the Crucial BX300 240GB was on the faster side of things, which is great. Interestingly, for buffered reading, it did worse than its previous version, the BX100. However, it performed similarly to the Kingston HyperX Savage 240GB. The BX300 performed closely to the HyperX Savage 240GB in the other categories as well. Otherwise, it outperformed the Crucial MX300 750GB in every category above. Overall, the Crucial BX300 performed decently, having similar results to the majority of the drives on this list.
