Gigabyte Radeon HD 6850 1GB OC Review (Page 4 of 13)

Page 4 - Benchmark: 3DMark 11

3DMark 11 is available in three presets; separated into their respective categories of Entry, Performance, and Extreme. Entry is run at a resolution of 1024x600, Performance at 1280x720, and Extreme at 1920x1080. Being a new benchmark on the market -- released only last month -- Futuremark's latest program is more than capable of driving current generation graphics cards to its knees. And it did. It takes advantage of new DirectX 11 features such as tessellation, compute shaders, and multi-threading. In the Entry test, Gigabyte Radeon 6850 OC is 11% slower than the 6870, and 4.2% faster than a stock 6850. Similar differences can be observed for Performance and Extreme presets. Its relative performance is 12% slower than the 6870 and 5% faster than a stock 6850 in Performance, and 15% slower than the 6870 and 4.7% faster than a stock 6850 in Extreme.
