Crystal Disk Mark 3.0 is in the spotlight. Just a bit of background information; higher capacity drives tend to perform a little better in these tests. The ability of a controller and flash memory to deliver high IOPS will provide huge benefits to the score as well. The Kingston HyperX Savage 240GB is rated at 100,000 IOPS for read and 89,000 IOPS for write, which is pretty good. Looking at the results, it was almost identical to the Patriot Ignite 480GB almost across the board; with a minute advantage given to the HyperX Savage except for the 4K QD32 tests. The Patriot Ignite was one of the fastest single SATA based drives on our list in a number of results, and matching its controller-sharing cousin in Crystal Disk Mark was definitely a good thing. I will let you make your own comparisons in our massive list of SSDs in the graphs above.
