Crystal Disk Mark 3.0 is in the spotlight. Just a bit of background information; higher capacity drives tend to perform a little better in these tests. This gives the 240GB SandForce drives like the Kingston HyperX 3K we are reviewing today an inherent advantage over its 120GB counterparts. With this in mind, the HyperX 3K shone demonstrated excellent performance once again, even when compared to others of the same capacity -- trading punches back and forth with the venerable Vertex 3 Max IOPS 240GB, and finishing right behind OCZ's flagship Vertex 4 256GB. Especially strong performance is evident in our 4K write benchmark, in which the numbers can be seen in our graphs above.
