I have retested the 34nm OCZ Vertex 2 60GB since my last review, and the results came out to be a bit different -- it appears to be much more accurate this time around though. Of course, the stuff of real interest is how much of a performance is the consumer going to take with the IC die shrink. The OCZ Vertex 2 160GB 25nm slotted nicely between the G.SKILL Phoenix EVO and OCZ Vertex 2 60GB 34nm; with some cases being close to the former, while others carrying higher resemblance of the latter. The classic Vertex 2 did take a slight lead in all tests, but not by much, to be honest. Oh, by the way, yes the HDD was crushed.
