Crystal Disk Mark 3.0 is in the spotlight. Just a bit of background information; higher capacity drives tend to perform a little better in these tests. The ability of a controller and flash memory to deliver high IOPS will provide huge benefits to the score as well. As you can see in our graphs above, the OCZ Vertex 3.20 240GB really gave the Vertex 3 Max IOPS a run for its money. It posted incredibly close numbers with the big daddy of all Vertex 3 drives; finishing either just behind or, in some cases, slightly in front. The only exception is the 4K QD32 read test. Looking at the big picture, the fact that the OCZ Vertex 3.20 is marketed as a mainstream performance SSD and delivers numbers like these is nothing short of impressive.
