About AIDA64 Engineer

AIDA64 Engineer has a hardware detection engine unrivaled in its class. It provides detailed information about installed software and offers diagnostic functions and support for overclocking. As it is monitoring sensors in real time, it can gather accurate voltage, temperature and fan speed readings, while its diagnostic functions help detect and prevent hardware issues. It also offers a couple of benchmarks for measuring the performance of individual hardware components or the whole system. It is compatible with all 32-bit and 64-bit Windows editions, including Windows 10 and Windows Server 2016.

As with all our removable storage reviews, I would just like to make it clear from the start we have a large mix of hard drives and flash drives on the list, so when comparing results, be sure to do so contextually. AIDA64 results provide interesting insight to the performance of the Patriot Supersonic Magnum 2 256GB as a performance USB flash drive. Delivering up to 356.2MB/s sequential read, 354.9MB/s random read, and 327.5MB/s buffered read, it is a significant increase of about 50% compared to its predecessor. However, all of these figures trail the Supersonic Rage 2 256GB. Its 0.75 ms random access time is pretty decent, but once again, it trailed its corporate cousin So far, for 256GB of USB 3.0 storage, the Supersonic Magnum 2 is one of the fastest drives we have ever seen here at APH Networks.
