Page 5 - Benchmark: Prey

Benchmark notes: Prey, a game based off a modified Quake engine, can be quite useful when benchmarking graphics card. We created our custom timedemo to try to strike a balance between close up action as well as larger scenes to more accurately portray real life results into our graphs today.

The number is 9 FPS to begin with; while our 7600GT starts off at 30 FPS with no AA and AF.

At 2xAA and 8xAF, both cards dropped a couple frames or so -- but a drop from 9 FPS to 6 FPS is quite a different story than 30 FPS to 28 FPS as seen of the 7600GT. It's not playable at these settings anyway, however.

Now onto maximum settings -- 4xAA and 16xAF. Again, a small drop -- but 6 FPS to 4 FPS is a lot more than 28 FPS to 27 FPS average.
