About ATTO Disk Benchmark

The ATTO Disk Benchmark performance measurement tool is compatible with Microsoft Windows. Measure your storage systems performance with various transfer sizes and test lengths for reads and writes. Several options are available to customize your performance measurement including queue depth, overlapped I/O and even a comparison mode with the option to run continuously. Use ATTO Disk Benchmark to test any manufacturers RAID controllers, storage controllers, host adapters, hard drives and SSD drives and notice that ATTO products will consistently provide the highest level of performance to your storage.

Our next benchmark is the ATTO read and write tests. ATTO benchmarks have become a standard, even a canon, across APH Networks for testing all types of storage performance, from network attached storage to flash drives. This is mainly due to its accuracy and thorough testing with varying transfer sizes. As you can see from the graphs, the Silicon Power Armor A30's read and write performance differs by about one megabyte per second at maximum speed, topping at 121.414MB/s and 119.57MB/s, respectively. Regarding the curves, the Armor A30 reaches optimal performance around 32K and above, much like the ADATA DashDrive Durable HD650 500GB. The Armor A30 is once again consistently better than the HD650 in this test by a hair. While these gains may not be noticeable by consumers, there is still a difference. Nonetheless, this performance is respectable, once again considering it is just a 2.5" hard drive inside.
