Tesoro A3 Tuned In-Ear Pro Review (Page 4 of 4)

Page 4 - Conclusion

I was not able to do a direct comparison between the ZealSound HDE-300 and the Tesoro A3 Tuned In-Ear Pro earphones, but I think the test results demonstrate at least some differences between the two different materials. However, there are many different factors to also consider than just the wood or metal housing of the earphones. The wood on the ZealSound HDE-300 earphones does give it a different feel, which is more classical, while the Tesoro A3 Tuned In-Ear Pro's metal housing gives it a modern and a bit more rugged vibe. The metal provides excellent build quality, and there are even some magnets in the back to make carrying them around a little bit easier as they stick together. The cable is long enough, while its design prevents tangling, which was definitely a plus throughout the time I used them. As well, there is a cable splitter included, which increases the length considerably and makes it useful for PC gaming. Also included in the box is a neat little carrying case. Unfortunately, I think there is room for improvement on the in-line remote, as some of the buttons had bad feedback. When it comes to sound quality, the Tesoro A3 Tuned In-Ear Pro earphones performed decently with a mostly balanced sound. The bass fared well with the other frequencies, and was not overpowering. However, the upper midrange and upper treble sounded a bit recessed, and its soundstaging too could be improved. If you like things that sound reasonably balanced with a dark overtone, the Tesoro A3 Tuned In-Ear Pro is a pretty decent choice, especially considering its price tag. The MSRP is $35 USD, which is really good for what you get. The Tesoro A3 Tuned In-Ear Pro's low price and decent performance makes it a good option in a pinch.
