About AIDA64 Engineer

AIDA64 Engineer has a hardware detection engine unrivaled in its class. It provides detailed information about installed software and offers diagnostic functions and support for overclocking. As it is monitoring sensors in real time, it can gather accurate voltage, temperature and fan speed readings, while its diagnostic functions help detect and prevent hardware issues. It also offers a couple of benchmarks for measuring the performance of individual hardware components or the whole system. It is compatible with all 32-bit and 64-bit Windows editions, including Windows 10 and Windows Server 2016.

Since our SSD review benchmark results are presented in alphabetical order, first up on the list is AIDA64 Engineer. Just to note, AIDA64 Engineer is a full synthetic benchmark. This means the results here do not always translate into real world performance. Even so, it provides valuable insight into performance between different drives and different controllers. As you can see in our graphs above, the Toshiba OCZ TL100 240GB's performance was quite similar to other drives of this price range. Compared to the OCZ Trion 150 480GB, the TL100 traded blows across the tests, though the TL100 mostly came out on top. Even so, these differences are very negligible and I highly doubt it will make any difference in real life. Interestingly enough, the Trion 100 480GB was quite a bit faster than both of these drives. Comparing with other drives from other brands, the Toshiba OCZ TL100 240GB was ahead of the Kingston UV400 480GB and the Crucial MX300 750GB in all regards, other than access time for the UV400. Speaking of which, the tested random access time was 0.03ms, which is slower than both the Trions and the UV400, though this difference is barely noticeable, and the result is in line with most of the standard SATA 6Gb/s SSDs we see. The rest of the comparison results against all the other drives can be seen in our graphs above.
