Crystal Disk Mark 3.0 is in the spotlight. Crystal Disk Mark is an important benchmark, because it tests the input/output operations per second capability of the storage device. As you can see in our charts above, compared against mainly drives from Seagate and even Western Digital themselves, the 5,400RPM Western Digital Red 10TB performed pretty well. For a drive of this caliber, these results were very good, where it consistently faster than the WD80EFZX. It won every read test other than the third one against its smaller brother, but only by a hair. Obviously, other drives that operate at a higher RPM had an advantage, such as the Seagate IronWolf ST10000VN0004 10TB. I will let you take a look at the results in our comparison graphs above.
