When you right click My Computer, and click Properties, you see what processor you have, right? Did you know you can change that too with a simple registry hack?

The content highlighted in the screenshot below will be changed.

Through a simple registry hack, you can change it to this:

All you need to do is start the registry editor (Start > Run > regedit in the box) and navigate to:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\HARDWARE\DESCRIPTION\System\CentralProcessor\0 and modify ProcessorKeyString to whatever you like! Note that all changes gets reverted after a restart.

Simple and easy tutorial, isn't it? And it's usually good enough to fool your friends who doesn't know about using CPU-Z. In fact, it fooled quite a bit of APH members in the forums when I showed everyone I got a FX-60!

As per your instructions i did it, but change isn't reflected.
Also any permanent way for this to shown after every bootup.
