  1. It's honestly very possible, in addition to the speakers that I'm replacing (Genius SP-HF1800A), I also have a couple Eagle Tech 2.1 sets that I'm quite positive will get blown out of the water by the new ones so it will be tempting to upgrade those too.
  2. I got to listen to the HD6's in a store (B&H) yesterday and really liked them. They also had the Kanko YU6 right next to it so I listened to those for a bit too and they were also excellent, but in a different way. Makes my decision a bit harder. I think I have to listen more so I'm going to buy both the HD6's and the YU6's, listen for a couple weeks then return the one I don't like as much. Or if I only like the HD6's slightly more I may go with the YU6's because of the $300 difference.
  3. I'll have to see how they sound for a while and depending on that I'll consider whether or not I should get a sub. How necessary do you guys think it is to pair the HD6's with a sub?
  4. Cool thanks guys, I was hoping people would say that
  5. Looking to buy a pair of powered bookshelf speakers and was hoping to get some opinions/advice. These speakers would be used primarily for listening to music and I’m happy to shell out a lot of cash if it’ll be worth it although my absolute maximum is probably around $1000. Ideally I’d spend around $400 - $700. In doing research I’ve come across a few pairs that look pretty good, one of which I’ve listened to before and really like the sound of (Edifier S2000 Pro). I’ll list the models below, any opinions on which are better of these would be great and I know the prices differ so that has to be factored in of course. The audio engines are $700 but I’ve heard excellent things so maybe it’s worth it? Also if there are other models that I haven’t listed that you think would be contenders, that works too.
