Looking to buy a pair of powered bookshelf speakers and was hoping to get some opinions/advice. These speakers would be used primarily for listening to music and I’m happy to shell out a lot of cash if it’ll be worth it although my absolute maximum is probably around $1000. Ideally I’d spend around $400 - $700. In doing research I’ve come across a few pairs that look pretty good, one of which I’ve listened to before and really like the sound of (Edifier S2000 Pro). I’ll list the models below, any opinions on which are better of these would be great and I know the prices differ so that has to be factored in of course. The audio engines are $700 but I’ve heard excellent things so maybe it’s worth it? Also if there are other models that I haven’t listed that you think would be contenders, that works too.
