  1. I agree, RMA is smooth but will take about 6-8 weeks before I get it back. On the other hand, my mobo was sent it also today. It showed signs of the same problem and seeing that this problem could only be represented by either your monitor, gpu, or mobo... I started to switch and swap parts with my old PC and low and behold it was the mobo (I was personally trying to veer away from the mobo being the problem as that would mean I would be required to use my old computer until I get all my parts back).

On the bright side, the one gtx 980 is in my old computer but I don't think it justifies all I've been through so far with this build.

  2. Still admiring the mobo armor on the VII formula

I won't have any pictures soon but I do have 5 Noctuas F12PPC Industrial 2000PWM and a Swiftech cpu block if that hints what may be coming soon :P

I wish it could have worked with the Antec, I've got all sorts of colors in my tower now since the Corsair themed their HXi series blue. Thinking of a DIY in changing the green Geforce led back-light to red to match the mobo.

  3. Welp, it's alive!

Sadly, after contacting Antec and submitting a ticket of my issues the PSU still failed. Seeing this was my third one to die, I honestly didn't want deal with this issue any longer. I have swapped for an HX1000i from Corsair! On the other hand, Antec's support team was extremely quick in contacting me over the net and when things weren't progressing they had called my provided phone number to attempt to solve my problem.

  4. Sadly, not yet performance_1. I hope it pulls through soon.

I have sent a ticket to Antec to see if they can look into my problem. I found the time to check my mobo and I've observed one intricate trouble.

If you look at the image below after the republic of gamers text under the CPU socket, you'll see a circle cut out where a standoff/Phillips screw should go, I have a thread poking through (seems like it's to assist the placement of the mobo but correct me if I'm wrong.)

  5. Hello community of APH, I've finally decided to build my very first PC I can call my own. Many of you may remember me as a guest writer on a case review for the Thermaltake Armor Revo. You might wonder what I mean by a computer I can call my own and it's pretty simple, I'm using hand-me-down parts. If the Weasley family from the Harry Potter series is renowned for hand-me-down essentials, I would be the equivalent in terms of computer components.

So what do I own from my current PC?

CPU cooler and two case fans.

Now, let's get down to business of what the new computer composes of that I am still in the process of building.

    CPU: i7-4790k (waiting)

    CPU Cooler: Noctua NH-D15 (waiting)

    MB: Asus Maximus VII Formula

RAM: Corsair Dominator Platinum 16GB (2x8GB)

Storage: Samsung 840 Evo 500GB SSD

GPU: EVGA GTX 980 4GB SC (x2 SLI)

    Case: Corsair 750D

    PSU: Antec Platinum 1300W

    Case Fans:

    -Noctua 140mm NF-P14 FLX (x2)

    -Noctua 140mm NF-A14 FLX (x3)

    -Noctua 120mm S12A ULN (x1)

    -2 fans still required

    Pictures coming soon!

  6. Which version of Oblivion are you playing? GOTY? I hope your not playing a saved file game. I heard you get a lot of crashes if you play saved files. I first borrowed my friends Elder scroll IV:Oblivion, had no crashes of any sort until i started hitting high hours of game play (with 6 different saves). I bought Elder scroll IV:Oblivion GOTY for the shivering isles expansion. I always get a crash about 30 minutes into the game (first crash), after the first crash it takes about 1 1/2-3 hours per crash. Oblivion was the second game i ever played, never had this problem at first. I would assume that it would deal with the space in the hard drive because when i play Oblivion now (After playing Grid, COD4:MW/MW2, COD:WOW, FO3, LBP, and GT5) i get several screen spikes over time and on the loading screen, the load bar freezes for about 10-15s before it starts.
