+Big Bang 1,548 Report post Posted November 19, 2010 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Qantas_Flight_32 Holy ****. I've never been involved in a Crisis like this before in all my years of flying and with EVERYTHING that could have went wrong it has. The workload is quite tense and I can't imagine sitting in the cockpit but it ends up with the best possible ending. ( On a side note I'm a Boeing fanboy and I hate Airbuses so)

shc-boomer 1,337 Report post Posted November 19, 2010 Man, that is very intense, how can so many things go wrong at once? Maybe that's why no one buys modern Rolls-Royce anymore.
chconline 1,337 Report post Posted November 20, 2010 RR jet engines has nothing to do with their cars... they're one of three largest in the world. You either get a Pratt & Whitney, Rolls Royce or General Electric. There are two engines available on the A380, where one is the aforementioned RR and the other is an Engine Alliance (Which is a joint venture between GE and Pratt & Whitney). http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rolls-Royce_Trent_900
+TL6MT 2,562 Report post Posted November 21, 2010 ^ Someone's an enthusiast. Man, that is very intense, how can so many things go wrong at once? Maybe that's why no one buys modern Rolls-Royce anymore. It's also because their cars are cost so much money neither me or BB or you or the chc combined can reasonably afford one - even if I could it wouldn't be a Phantom... +Big Bang 1,548 Report post Posted November 22, 2010 That's what we're paid for - emergencies. Most new planes can practically Fly themselvces. Props on the guys unlike those who were distracted by the laptops.
