Good to see Gigabyte with another entry. Got to love the long SSD testing configuration :lol:

They're expensive. Most people can't tell or won't use the difference and mainly just look at the price tag, unfortunately.

Honestly the performance is pretty good, maybe not against high end NVME drives but budget NVME > SATA.

^ This. Budget NVMe drives still have their place, especially since their numbers are better. However, it is also true that the numbers that we see from benchmarks are practically indistinguishable when you go even from SATA SSDs to low-end NVMe, let alone higher end.

I regularly see budget NVMe drives having really high linear read speeds, but beyond that, Aaron is right.

Both are dogged down by the lack of DRAM, but the RC100 is technically faster in the linear read segment and delivers slightly better IOPS. It's also much smaller in form factor, but the Gigabyte is $5 cheaper right now.
