SteelSeries Rival 650 Wireless by Jonathan Kwan

Recommended Posts

I think it's just a different shape for the most part. The 710 is mostly an updated version of the 700, which has stuff like a swappable sensor, 3D printable inserts, OELD screen, tactile feedback, etc. whereas this is a wireless mouse with adjustable weights.

Yep it sure is. The Rival 710 is a bit of a different grade and doesn't have TrueMove3+.

Thanks chc. Wonder why they didn't include Truemove3+ with the 700 but all the 600 mice has it.

Mmm that is a fair point, especially since the numbering is higher so you might expect "more features".

However, the '+' part of the sensor is for lift off distance, something I'm not really convinced a mouse needs a dedicated sensor for.

Probably because this is an iterative update rather than a new platform.

Anyway review is up. I finished this last week, but decided to release it this week: https://aphnetworks.com/reviews/steelseries-rival-650-wireless

Do you think the second sensor decreases battery life? Anyway to disable it?

Probably a bit, but not significantly. You still get 24 hours.
