2019 Honda Insight

Recommended Posts

Had a chance to drive a 2019 Honda Insight Touring over the weekend. Apparently, they don't have many around here -- I was at the largest dealer in Alberta and they only had two. The demo was crashed so they had to pull one in from off the lot. After he pulled it in, I looked at the car and as we prepared for a test drive, it ran out of battery so it needed to be boosted  no one in the dealership knew how to boost the car, but eventually I pulled up YouTube and we figured out how to boost it.

Anyways, onto the drive, it was a surprisingly good car. It drove very normal, even though it's a hybrid. The engine was a bit coarse if you floor it, but if  you drive it normally, it's a very normal car. The regenerative braking transitions well to mechanical braking and the car accelerates like any other car. 4.9L/100km combined is also a real winner. The interior is Accord quality as well.

For about $34K CAD, it's quite a reasonably priced car, too.

I think trucks are a pretty big seller here in Canada, but I'm not sure if I do :P
