Razer Announces Wolverine Ultimate PC/Xbox One Controller

From PC Mag: The controller that ships with games consoles is usually the best way to enjoy games on the machine. But there's always room for improvement and customization, which even Microsoft demonstrated when it unveiled the Xbox One Elite Wireless Controller. Now Razer is getting into the game with the announcement of the Razer Wolverine Ultimate controller for Xbox One and PC.

The Wolverine Ultimate is focused on allowing a gamer to customize their input method to suit their preferences during play. With that in mind, the controller includes two interchangeable D-Pads and interchangeable thumbsticks allowing for both the height and shape to be adjusted. There's also six extra remappable buttons consisting of two multi-function bumpers and four multi-function triggers.

Customization isn't just limited to input, though. Razer integrated an RGB lighting strip capable of displaying 16.8 million colors. Users can select which colors to display and choose between static, spectrum cycling, breathing, wave, and any other animated lighting effects Razer comes up with. Game developers will also have access to Razer's Chroma SDK, allowing them to integrate lighting changes directly into the games they create.

As this controller is for both the Xbox One and PC, it includes support for Razer Synapse. Synapse is Razer's answer to having you settings available anywhere by storing them in the cloud. So when you switch from PC to Xbox gaming, or take your controller to a friend's house, your settings remain available as long as there's an Internet connection.
