From PC Mag: If you’re finding ChatGPT has gone silent, you’re not alone. OpenAI’s chatbot is down for many users around the world right now.
According to Downdetector, the issues began at 3 a.m. ET and have persisted for many users, with reports growing as the United States wakes up. It appeared that some users regained access around 6 a.m. ET, but then reports of issues returned soon after.
In a statement, OpenAI says, “We have identified the root cause for the issue causing elevated errors and latency across the listed services. We are working on implementing a mitigation.”
