From PC World: Acer showed off two new Snapdragon-powered laptops at Computex 2026: the Swift Spin 14 AI and the Aspire Go 15. The Swift Spin 14 AI is definitely the flashier one, but the cheaper Aspire Go 15 feels like the bigger story and I want to tell you why.
Acer is finally bringing a lower-end Snapdragon chip into its budget lineup. Most people shopping for a cheap laptop care more about battery life anyway, and that’s what Snapdragon chips do well.
The Swift Spin 14 AI (it’s a 2-in-1 now!) still checks every modern laptop box imaginable. Depending on the configuration, it runs on either Qualcomm’s Snapdragon X2 Elite or X2 Plus chips, supports up to three external 4K displays, and packs up to 80 TOPS of AI performance. Acer is also throwing in the standard Copilot+ PC stuff Microsoft has been pushing everywhere. It’s not a bad laptop (far from it!), but I’ve seen it all before and I’m sure you have too.
The Aspire Go 15 is more interesting to me because it’s simpler. It uses Qualcomm’s new Snapdragon C chip and is built around the basics: web browsing, streaming, schoolwork, battery life (up to 23 hours according to Acer), and portability.
