From PC Mag: AI-powered note-takers aren't a novel concept, but Plaud’s new One Explorer Edition combines the tech with a pair of earbuds to listen in on conversations, make detailed notes, and even instruct AI agents to undertake tasks on your behalf.
Following the Note and NotePin devices, Plaud's next innovation is to build its extensive note-taking AI into a pair of true wireless earbuds housed in a microphone-equipped charging case, designed primarily for professionals. "It captures the live conversation, understands intent in real time, and acts across your tools proactively," Plaud says.
If you’re wearing the earbuds, Plaud can listen in on what you and others are saying on phone calls or online meetings; the case also acts as a recording puck you place on the table during in-person meetings. You can also talk directly to Plaud Agent to request AI-generated work based on the recordings. Examples include preparing a report from recent conversations or drafting a follow-up on what was discussed in the latest meeting.
You can use what Plaud calls Skills to build workflows working alongside plug-ins, or you can connect third-party tools like Gmail, Google Calendar, Microsoft Teams, Notion, or Slack to automate even more tasks.
