iPad Orders May Start This Week

From PC World: Since the introduction of the iPad on January 27, Apple has been keeping mum on an exact date you could get your hands on one. Yet advance orders for the tablet-like device could start as early as this week, says the Apple rumor blog Appadvice.

Steve Jobs said in January the Wi-Fi-enabled iPads will arrive 60 days after the announcement (sometime before March 29) with the 3G-enabled iPad arriving 30 days later.

But Appadvice quotes "reliable sources" "familiar with the matter" saying Apple will start taking pre-orders of the iPad as soon as Thursday, February 25, only in the U.S. and only for the Wi-Fi model.

Before you reach for your wallet, though, it needs mentioning that Appadvice doesn't have the best of track records when it comes to Apple rumors coming true.

However, something else is keeping the Apple iPad in the headlines, and that is the lack of Adobe Flash support. Steve Jobs has been allegedly bashing Flash for poor performance and all sorts of reasons were given for the lack of Flash on the iPhone and iPad.
